Without a doubt, this property has the finest amenities and services in the area with a world class spa, fine dining and beautiful rooms with breathtaking views over the valley.

Day 2: Do the bubbles taste different between houses?

Guests will enjoy a private Dom Prignon tour and visit some of the oldest areas of the cellars which are seldom available to the public. From here, we will head to the famous hilltop village of Hautvillers, the “cradle of Champagne” and admire the spectacular views. Your guide will take you on a tour of the village, visiting places such as the Church where Dom P rignon is buried. Take a stroll to a quaint local tasting boutique for a comparative tasting accompanied by gourmet local delicacies. After your late lunch, we will have some time to relax and freshen up at the hotel before heading to Champagne Pommery for a private, “after hours” tour of the impressive 1600 year-old Gallo-Roman chalk cellars. Whilst wandering through the eleven miles of tunnels and galleries, home to more than twenty million Champagne bottles, you will learn all about the particularities of this prestigious producer, notably about the amazing life of Louise Pommery, who assumed full control of the estate and revolutionised the Champagne industry following her husband’s death in 1860. The evening will conclude with a three course dinner at the kitsch “Pommery Pop” library, served alongside a wide selection of Pommery Champagnes.

Day 3: Learn the process and make your own Champagne

Learn the full Champagnemaking process, from vine to bottle and participate in a blending lesson where you will taste a selection of still base wines that have been vinified. You are then able to create and bottle your very own perfect Champagne. After leaving the estate, the wine maker will age your unique Champagnes in his cellars for a minimum of fifteen months and send you any news relating to the transformation. Following such an insightful morning, you will be escorted to a majestic 19th Century private manor, built on the grounds of the Abbey of Saint Basle, and owned by Champagne Veuve Clicquot, for a multi-course lunch in the opulent dining room. In the afternoon, you will be taken further out into the vineyards, where you will continue your tour as the guests of a small, family-run Champagne maker where you will learn a tremendously fun and festive activity, the Napoleonic art of Sabrage (the In the evening, prepare some traditional French dishes in Reims city center lead by a local chef.
